Located in one of Patrick county's favorite spots, Meadows of Dan. This area has some unique shopping areas for those one-of-a-kind gifts. Nancy's Candy is always a good draw for those sweet delights. There are several places to eat while you're there, such as Poor Farmers Market, Papa's Country Cooking, Meadows of Dan Food Mart, and Primitive Coffee. Other nearby places of interest are Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Chateau Morrisette Winery, and Villa Appalaccia Winery. You're close enough to other towns to take in some of the festivities such as in Stuart there are the apple dumpling festival, the strawberry festival, the Beach Music Festival, and the Patrick County Fair. In Floyd there's always music going on in some form or fashion. Although it's not in Virginia, but a nearby place of interest is Mt. Airy, North Carolina that many refer to as Mayberry USA.
